Rasha Al Hoshan - Owner/Founder

Rasha Al Hoshan was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She received her B.A. in Political Science-Middle East from the American University in Washington DC, USA in 1995 while studying architecture and interior design at the University of Maryland and at Marymount University respectively.  She later pursued an M.S. degree in Interior Design - Exhibit Design and graduated with Honours, from Pratt Institute NYC, USA in 1998, a program that offered a culmination of both her passions in design and politics.

Upon returning to the Kingdom, she joined the family business at Hoshan Group and established the SHALIMAR/Hoshan Design Office in 1998-2000 Riyadh, which specialized in Exhibit Design and Interior Design and catered to both residential and commercial projects. While at the Hoshan Design Office, Rasha worked with the Hoshan Group to establish the Hoshan luxury furniture showroom, which represented the furniture collections of Herman Miller, and introduced Fendi Casa, B&B Italia and Nada Debs to the Saudi market. Within the first five years of the establishment of the design office, Hoshan Design was able to capture a list of prestigious and challenging projects in the city of Riyadh.

In 2000, she joined Hoshan Furniture as a Design Manager and advanced from there to the position of a General Manager within 13 years at the firm. During this time, she also became a Board Member, an Executive Committee Member, and a Corporate Group Business Development Director at Hoshan Group (2008-2013). In 2012, Rasha Al Hoshan had also joined as a Board Member at the distinguished Kingdom Holding Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and remained in that position until September 2017.

Having found her passion in Exhibit Design, and understanding that it is a powerful tool in communication and in provoking thought, Rasha Al Hoshan stepped back from management roles and established her independent business in 2013 specializing in Exhibit Design, and has since then worked on numerous temporary and permanent museums both in Saudi Arabia and in the Gulf Region. “DESIGN WITH PURPOSE” became the driving force behind her concepts; a process of thorough thought through design continues to evolve with her projects.

Today, she is the owner and founder of Rasha Al-Hoshan Est., while she remains an active Board and Executive Committee Member at Hoshan Group.
